Classic Depression Glass by the L. E. Smith Glass Company.
This is their "standing terrier" pattern in black amethyst.
Manufactured during the 1930s -- 70 years old!

The terrier dog is beautiful. Very rare to find one without chips.
A great shine on the glass. It does not appear to have been used as an ashtray.

There is one slight chip on the interior edge. It is barely visible.
Excellent condition for such an old piece.
